Based on the Seychellois legend that the original Garden of Eden was actually the Vallée de Mai on the island of Praslin, this adaptation of Adam and Eve sets itself under a Coco D'Mer palm, the symbol of the Seychelles. The vulva shape of the seed pod is revered, as is the seed pod of the male tree. Legend states that the two trees unite in the light of a full moon but any human who witnesses the vision will be immediately struck dead. The green gecko (representing the snake) is the pollinator of the Coco D'Mer causing the male seed pod to droop. Adam is drinking a Seybrew and Eve has an apple imported from South Africa. They are watched over by a pair of rare black parrots found only in the Vallée de Mai jungle, representing unity and happiness.
